In the twenty-first episode of the Electrical Engineering podcast "Current Affairs", Dariana Schneider talks to our host, Jan Beinfohr, about the Computer Engineering degree programme.
Computer Engineering is a combination of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and thus unites two subject areas. Dariana Schneider is studying Computer Engineering herself and sees it as an easy way to study both subject areas. "You really have half computer science and half Electrical Engineering and it combines the best of both worlds." Dariana summarises the advantage of this degree course. Students have access to two student councils where they can ask questions. This combined degree course also offers the opportunity not to specialise straight away, but to keep many different options open. Students are introduced to both subject areas during their studies and can choose between computer science and electrical engineering topics for their Bachelor's thesis. For the Master's degree programme, it is then possible to switch to pure Computer Science or pure Electrical Engineering or to stay with a combination of both.
"So I can only recommend it." Dariana summarises.
In the latest podcast episode, Dariana Schneider explains what other advantages there are and what disadvantages there may also be.
