Bachelor-Master Transition
In order to make the transition from the Bachelor's programme to the consecutive Master's programme smoother, Paderborn students have the possibility, under certain conditions, to earn credits earlier to take into Master's subject courses (one-time). Up-to-date information on the legal requirements, the procedure for registering for the course in "Paul" and an overview of the possible courses can be found on the PAUL Student Support EE website in the box "Bachelor-Master Transition".
The following is a breakdown of the current requirements (as of August 2020) by individual degree programmes:
Regulation of the procedure for earning credits earlier the Master's programme in Electrical Engineering:
According to the examination regulations AM 57/17 of the Master's programme in Electrical Engineering (amended by AM30/18 & AM 57/18), Master's credits may be brought forward (one-time) if the following requirements are met:
- Completed 1st study section
- Credit points earned during studies: at least 152 credits

Regulation of the procedure for bringing forward achievements in the Master's programme in Computer Engineering:
According to the examination regulations AM 57/17 (amended by AM 18/19) of the Master's programme in Computer Engineering, Master's credits can be earned earlier once if the following requirements are met:
- Completed 1st study section
- Credit points earned during studies: at least 152 credits
- The Bachelor thesis must be registered

Regulation of the procedure for earning credits earlier for the Master's programme in Industrial Engineering and Management, Electrical Engineering:
According to the amendment statutes AM 049/18 & AM 052/18 of the Master's programme in Industrial Engineering and Management, Electrical Engineering, Master's achievements can be earned earlier if the following requirements are met:
- Credit points earned in the programme: at least 152 credits
