Offers for pupils and teachers
The Electrical Engineering study counselling service offers a wide range of information especially for pupils or school classes and groups of the Upper School and the Vocational College to get to know the study area of Electrical Engineering and the University of Paderborn. To this end, we work closely with the departments of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, so that interested pupils can gain an intensive and personal impression as far as possible of the teaching and research opportunities available.

With the help of the MINT@UniPB services offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics, individual guided tours can be booked. More information can be found here.
Individual departments of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology offer the possibility of a student or professional internship. This can be in connection with the obligatory orientation internship at the upper secondary school (usually between 2-4 weeks) or also in the longer term for obtaining the Certificate of Aptitude, e.g. at a College of Higher Education.
As these are mostly very individual requests, we ask you to contact us first. We can then find the appropriate contact person for you in the respective specialist areas and establish initial contact or support you in choosing and carrying out your work placement.
Study guidance in Electrical Engineering at your school: We would be happy to come to your school and inform interested pupils of all grades about the study opportunities at the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Paderborn.
Our student assistants can tell you about their wealth of experience and give the students first-hand information about what it means to study Electrical Engineering. We are also happy to bring along illustrative exhibits and show experiments from the departments of our institute, so that pupils can get a first impression of the practical work at the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology on site.
If you are interested in a specific subject area of our institute (see subject areas), we can also arrange for a research assistant from the relevant subject area to join our consulting team at your school and give a special lecture on the field of activity in his or her research area.
