Application

On the Enrolment website you can find out how to enrol for our Electrical Engineering programmes. Please check beforehand whether you meet the Bachelor's admission requirements or the Master's admission requirements.

The University of Paderborn offers an online-supported procedure for enrolling in a degree programme. Via the online application portal, students can apply for the admission restricted and free degree programmes. You can find the application deadlines here.

You will then find the letter of admission, the declaration of acceptance and a personalised payment form in the online application portal under "My documents". You can also find your registration documents there. You can then download the enrolment application form, fill it in online and send the print-out with the required documents to the Registrar's Office.

The following documents and copies are required:

  • The printed and signed registration form
  • Declaration of acceptance
  • Proof of payment of semester fees
  • Officially certified copy of the certificate of higher education entrance qualification, e.g. Abitur certificate
  • Copy of the identity card or passport
  • Certificate of insurance in accordance with the Student Health Insurance Registration Regulations (certificate for submission to the university! A copy of the insurance card is not sufficient)
  • A passport photo
  • A sufficiently stamped DIN A4 envelope for sending the study documents
  • For minors: declaration of consent of the legal representative

Prospective students who have the College of Higher Education entrance qualification (certificate of aptitude) as a higher education entrance qualification must also enclose proof of their professional qualifications or proof that they have passed the entrance examination. Prospective international students should contact the International Office for information on the exact admission requirements.

For all Master's programmes, an officially authenticated copy of the Bachelor's degree must also be submitted.
