Dr.-Ing. Vira Besaga joined the Department of Semiconductor and Optoelectronic Devices as a postdoctoral researcher in September 2025. Dr. Besaga received her doctorate degree (Dr.-Ing.) from Ruhr University Bochum for metrological applications of transmission digital holography in 2020. In 2021-2025 she has been a postdoctoral researcher for quantum imaging and sensing at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Her research interests include optical metrology and sensing in different modalities ranging from quantitative phase imaging to polarimetry, with a focus on practical implementation of quantum-enhanced optical metrology.
