Ms. Ayana Ayyappan joined the group of Semiconductor Optoelectronic Devices as a research assistant (Doctoral researcher) in April 2025. Immediately prior to this, she successfully completed her Master's thesis entitled "Investigations on direct-bonded diamond heat spreader in optically pumped semiconductor lasers", which she carried out at Coherent Lasersystems GmbH Lübeck. She earned her Master's degree in Lasers and Photonics from Ruhr University Bochum.
