New IEEE RA-L paper, “VDS-Nav: Volumetric Depth-Based Safe Navigation for Aerial Robots–Bridging the Sim-to-Real Gap”

We are excited to share our latest IEEE RA-L paper, “VDS-Nav: Volumetric Depth-Based Safe Navigation for Aerial Robots–Bridging the Sim-to-Real Gap” VDS-Nav: A novel navigation paradigm that enables aerial robots to safely navigate using linear velocities and yaw rates inferred directly from a sequence of depth images, eliminating the need for pre-trained latent space encoders.
