Anna Merle studied English and French in Dortmund in the 1970s and has worked since as a translator and foreign language correspondent for various enterprises and authorities, e.g. British Forces Germany, Army Legal Aid, Mannesmann DEMAG Fördertechnik, Thyssen Umformtechnik, Deutscher Amateurfunk, TU Munich - Ecological Chemistry and Environmental Analysis, GSF in Neuherberg, Deutsche Genossenschaftsbank Legal Department, and University of Paderborn - Experimental Physics.
