GENERAL INFORMATION

The learning center of electrical engineering (LZET) is one component of the university-wide project "Heterogeneity as a chance" which is being funded by the federal state program "Teaching Quality Pact". It became operational in May 2012, thus succeeding the LZET launched in 2008 by the student representatives of electrical engineering.

With this room on P1.7.09.3 and its media equipment, the students are provided with adequate infrastructure to enhance group-based learning approaches in particular as well as communication among the students. To name only a few, there are 36 electrically powered working places, one smartboard, whiteboards and lookers available free of charge.

The services offered by the LZET are complemented by a permanent contact person who can be addressed for individual professional advice (see contact box) and the possibility to take up multidisciplinary issues (presentation techniques, literature management, time management etc.). In addition, first semester the students’ representatives of electrical engineering conduct tutorials daily for one semester.

Finally yet importantly, the LZET also serves as a platform for talks of random engineering related topics (How to explain things). For further information, see the links in the right hand box.
